Writing can be a lonely business and there are times when we need a listening ear or some words of wisdom from others who've been there, done that to keep going. Whether you write fiction, non-fiction, poetry, short stories, novels and even scripts for stage or screen, our aim is to encourage your creative process and to inspire some creative moments.
Beyond this, between us, we have experience of self-publishing, traditional publishing, blogging and finding an agent, so if publication is your holy grail, we might be able to help you with that too.
The group is led by Claire Griffel. Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability or writing experience. Why not come along and see what you can do?
Claire has been writing stories and poems since she was little. She is an artist, photographer and storyteller. She recently wrote, illustrated and published Quet-zal's Tail, a colourful book for young readers, with themes of friendship, family and overcoming differences. She is currently working on an anthology of poems and the biography of a Lakeland shepherd.
